We've learned that ms pacman was not only a video game character, she also was featured in the animated series by hanna barbara. But not many people are aware, that ms pacman comics were available for a brief time period in Japan, and they were some of the best comic books I've ever read. Many collectors are bidding on these items for large amounts of money, and you may find them on ebay. The Stories featuring Ms PacmanThe Comics basically center around the relationship with her husband, and how they are both constantly being chased by ghosts who are trying to take their life. Much like in the ms pacman games, they need to stay alive by getting energy. Notice how most video games center around this idea? It brings them to life, the need for sustenance. We need the same thing. Anyways, the comics feature original japanese artwork and were only available in the japanese language. Nonetheless, the artwork is very good, lots of texture and beautiful colors.The first time I ever picked up a ms pacman comic was in japan, I was taking a trip there. I came across an old comic collector who was smoking a pipe. He told me, that for only $1000 dollars he would sell me a signed copy of the first issue. Afterwards, I realized I had been tricked. Ms Pacman cannot sign anything, as she is only a virtual creation! And yet, I left the comic shop a happy young man. |
